Future Ready Friday - Lucas Ashdown

FutureReadyFriday is a highlight of our seniors and their future plans. This highlight is about Lucas Ashdown.

Lucas Ashdown, a senior at Allen High School, has been an active member of the WINGS Peer Leadership Program, showing a deep commitment to service and leadership. As he looks ahead, Lucas plans to serve a two-year mission. Following this mission, Lucas intends to pursue a degree in business at BYU.

Throughout his time at Allen High School, Lucas has cherished every moment, from homecoming to the PALS/WINGS leadership retreat at Allaso Ranch, and the excitement of football and basketball games. These experiences have not only enriched his high school journey but also prepared him for the challenges ahead.

Allen High School has equipped Lucas with invaluable skills, teaching him the importance of listening, engaging in respectful conversations, and demonstrating determination and hard work. These lessons have shaped him into a young adult ready to face the world with confidence.

Lucas's advice to new students at Allen High School is simple: "Put yourself out there! Join some clubs, take classes that sound interesting. We have such a unique opportunity at Allen to really immerse ourselves in a variety of activities. Most importantly, don’t take yourself too seriously."

As Lucas prepares to embark on his mission and future studies, he carries with him the memories and lessons from Allen High School, ready to make his mark on the world.
