Members of the Allen High School Peer Leadership program (WINGS) recently visited Boyd Elementary School to read to the students and leave the books as a gift courtesy of Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A is sponsoring 45 WINGS members in its Leader Academy (CFALA), a program focused on servant leadership. The group’s first service project in partnership with CFALA is a million-book giveaway. With CFALA's assistance, the WINGS students put together 160 bags of books for Boyd Elementary Kindergarten and first graders. The Boyd students received five books each through the event.
The Chick-Fil-A cow visited with the Boyd students along with the WINGS members to deliver the books.
